Terms & Conditions – PC REPAIRS 256 LLC

1. Service Rates & Payment

  • Service rates vary depending on the type of repair or consulting requested. Prices will be disclosed to the client before work begins.

  • A minimum charge may apply for certain services (e.g., diagnostics, on-site visits, or emergency repairs).

  • Payment is due at the time of service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Scope of Services

  • Services may include diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, installations, consulting, and user education.

  • Any additional services or parts not included in the original estimate will be subject to extra charges with client approval.

3. Estimates & Repairs

  • All estimates are provided in good faith. Actual costs may vary depending on diagnostic findings.

  • Clients will be contacted before any work that exceeds the approved estimate is performed.

4. Estimate and Repair Time

  • Estimates and repairs are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • We strive to provide an on-the-spot estimate whenever possible; however, due to the complexity of modern electronics, an exact estimate or diagnosis often cannot be made until the device is opened and thoroughly examined.

  • In such cases, we aim to provide an estimate within 24 hours of the device being left with us, though no guarantees, implicit or explicit, are made regarding diagnosis or estimate turnaround time.

  • While many repairs are completed within 24–48 hours, actual repair times may vary based on parts availability, job volume, and the complexity of the issue. Any references to service times on our website or in promotional materials are estimates only and are not guarantees.

  • Rush Service is available for an additional fee. Rush Service ensures your device is prioritized in our repair queue, but it does not guarantee a specific completion time.

5. Data

  • PC REPAIRS 256 LLC does not guarantee the security or safety of your data. While we take every precaution possible to protect the integrity of your data, we cannot assume liability for any lost data as a result of services performed.

  • If we are aware that a procedure may result in data loss, we will inform you of the risk, explain what data may be affected, and offer to back up your data for an additional fee.

  • Due to the complex nature of electronic devices, we cannot always predict what may happen to your data during service.

  • We strongly encourage all customers to back up important files and documents before bringing in a device. Customers must provide their own external hard drive in order to successfully back up data.

6. Liability

  • We are not responsible for any loss of business, downtime, or incidental damages resulting from hardware failure, software issues, or repair delays.

  • Repairs are performed at the client’s own risk, especially when dealing with pre-existing damage or failing hardware.

7. Warranties

  • A 30-day warranty applies to labor for completed repairs.

  • Manufacturer or third-party warranties apply to replacement parts (if provided).

  • Warranty does not cover viruses, user damage, software corruption, or issues caused after service completion.

8. Manufacturer Warranty

  • Some services performed by PC REPAIRS 256 LLC may void your manufacturer’s warranty.

  • Where possible, we will try to inform you before proceeding.

  • Some manufacturers provide exemptions for professional repair shops, though we cannot guarantee in any way that yours will, nor do we maintain a list of manufacturers who do provide such exceptions.

  • Always check with your manufacturer before bringing a device still under warranty in for repair work.

9. Parts and Third-Party Suppliers

  • Parts used in repairs may be sourced from third-party suppliers when original manufacturer parts are unavailable or cost-prohibitive.

  • We do not guarantee the availability of specific brands, colors, or models of replacement parts.

  • Third-party or aftermarket parts may carry their own warranty through the supplier, but PC REPAIRS 256 LLC does not provide any additional warranty beyond what is stated in Section 7.

  • Special-order parts may require full or partial payment up front and may be non-refundable once ordered.

  • In the event a part is defective, we will assist in processing any warranty claim with the supplier, but replacement timelines are outside of our control.

10. Confidentiality

  • All customer data, files, and personal information accessed during service will remain strictly confidential.

11. Customer Responsibilities

  • Clients must provide accurate system information and necessary access to devices, passwords, and software required for repair.

  • Failure to disclose relevant issues may affect service quality or outcomes.

12. Cancellations & Appointments

  • Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance.

  • If an appointment is not cancelled within 24 hours, a 30% cancellation fee will be charged.

  • This fee will be calculated based on the total amount of the scheduled service and deducted from any payments already made.

13. Equipment Storage and Handling

  • Due to storage concerns, PC REPAIRS 256 LLC will hold devices for up to 30 days after contacting you to pick up your device.

  • After 30 days, if we have not heard from you, the device will be considered abandoned and will become the property of PC REPAIRS 256 LLC.

  • We cannot guarantee that equipment will not be discarded after the initial 30-day period. It is the client’s responsibility to pick up equipment on time or make arrangements with us for extended storage.

  • Payment must be made in full before equipment is released.

14. Limited Liability

  • The client agrees that the maximum liability of PC REPAIRS 256 LLC for any claim related to services provided shall not exceed the total amount paid for those services.

  • Under no circumstances shall PC REPAIRS 256 LLC be held responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of business, profits, or data.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama (or your business’s registered state).

  • Any disputes arising from these Terms & Conditions or services provided shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation.

  • If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in the company’s county of operation, unless otherwise required by law.

  • By accepting services, the client agrees to waive the right to participate in class-action lawsuits against PC REPAIRS 256 LLC.

16. Severability

  • If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

  • The invalid portion shall be replaced by a valid and enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original.

17. Acceptance of Terms

  • By booking or receiving computer repair services, the client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

18. Changes to Terms

  • PC REPAIRS 256 LLC reserves the right to update, modify, or change these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

  • The most current version will always be available on our website or provided upon request.

  • Continued use of our services after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms & Conditions.
